Media Literacy at Andrews Academy

Andrews Academy students develop their intellect and character by their ongoing and active involvement in Project Based Learning, Outdoor Education, Character Education, Community and Global Partnerships, with priority placed on building a better world for all through a commitment and understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. An overarching theme of global communication is media literacy. Earlier this year, our students and faculty partnered with Gateway Media Literacy Partners of St. Louis to explore, in depth, the importance of media literacy. As an extension of this work, nine of our upper school students went on to share this work with educators at the Midwest Education Technology Conference.
