I have taught all core subjects for Kindergarten and grade one, and English Language Arts for grades six and seven in Maryland. I hold a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction: Language, Culture, & Society from The Pennsylvania State University, a Masters in education as a Reading Specialist, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I presented papers at the International Conference of the Association for the Study of Play (TASP), the Ethnographic & Qualitative Research Conference (EQRC), and the National Art Education Association (NAEA). I am a Curriculum Consultant for Online Teaching-Learning to Behavioral Research and Teaching (BRT) for the College of Education at the University of Oregon. I enjoy healthful cooking, hiking, and spending time with my family.
