Fourth Grade
I earned my undergraduate degree at Principia College. Took a break to get married and raise our three children. When they were all in middle school I knew I needed to pursue my passion so I earned my Masters in Teaching at Missouri Baptist University. I have taught grades 4 and 5 in both the private and public school settings. I am excited to continue my teaching journey at Andrews Academy. What inspires me most as a teacher is witnessing a students “aha” moments. Those moments when they push through something they thought they couldn’t do, when they think outside the box or when they achieve a goal they set for themselves.
Outside the classroom I enjoy summer vacation in Colorado with my husband, children, grandchildren and sister where hiking is always a favorite activity. I also enjoy baking cookies of any kind. Of course I can’t start my day without walking our dog Walter.
