Her students know that they are important and are valued members of the school and community.
Mrs. Blankenburg graduated from Illinois State University with a B.A. degree in Education and continues to attend numerous professional seminars to further her development as a teacher. Mrs. Blankenburg has taught three grade levels during her tenure of teaching: Kindergarten, First, and Second Grades. Additionally, she taught Kindergarten at the Andrews Academy location at the inception of her career for seven years before joining the AALSL team. Mrs. Blankenburg enjoyed teaching each grade level for many reasons, but Second Grade is her favorite and she can’t imagine teaching a more special and unique age group.
