Physical Education
Shane Murray joined Andrews Academy- Lake St. Louis in 2019. He is the Physical and Health Education teacher. Shane also is the Athletic Coordinator for Andrews Academy- Lake St. Louis. Before Andrews Academy, Shane grew up outside of Dallas, Texas. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Physical Education with Strength & Conditioning at Texas Christian University (TCU). While at TCU, Shane was a part of the varsity Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Upon graduation, Shane moved to Ewa Beach, Hawaii to teach Pre-Kindergarten through Sixth grade Physical Education and served as an Athletic Coordinator. He then moved his career to the Kirkwood School District in Kirkwood, Missouri to serve in various roles.
Now, Shane loves to run and compete in running road races. He also loves to go on walks and hikes with his wife and dog. Shane also enjoys going to various festivals around town.
Shane’s goal as an educator is to teach his students how to pursue a life of healthy living through a variety of tasks, games, skills, sports and life skills. Shane strives to guide his students to find physical activities that can be pursued for a lifetime.
