Blake is a dedicated and child-centered teaching professional with over 15 years teaching experience committed to providing a well-balanced, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all students. Her ability to remain flexible ensures every child’s learning style and abilities are addressed. Blake is a hardworking and trusted educator who enjoys to collaborating with all members of the school community to meet the needs of students and promote the philosophy of the school.
The art program at Andrews Academy centers on the individual child. Experiences in art allow a child to express oneself effectively while developing skills and concepts that are the basis of art education. Blake believes her responsibility as an art teacher is to help students develop their creativity, provide students with the skills needed to create and appreciate art, and encourage students to become lifelong learners.
Blake has a Master of Arts in Elementary Education, and a Missouri Educator’s Certificate with certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. In 2011, she was awarded a “Teacher of Distinction” through the Independent Schools of St. Louis.
