Nanette Reasoner, Head of School

After graduating from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary Education, Mrs. Reasoner moved to Saint Louis to begin her career in education. One of her first teaching positions was at Andrews Academy Creve Coeur as a Third Grade teacher. Her husband’s career would require them to move to Dallas, Texas and then to northern New Jersey allowing Nanette to continue her career in some of the finest independent schools in the country including the Lamplighter School in Dallas and Tuxedo Park School in New York, where she served as Head of the Middle School. Upon returning to Saint Louis with her husband and daughter, she returned to her roots at Andrews Academy where she served as Dean of Students and Curriculum Director for seven years prior to being appointed as Head of School.

Mrs. Reasoner’s experiences confirm her belief that while school missions and styles vary; the culture of a school is projected by administrators, faculty, staff, and students. She believes that excellent schools value and project a culture of learning. Mrs. Reasoner inspires a culture of excellence in education which is evident at Andrews Academy Lake Saint Louis.
