Sandy Wideman

Director of Curriculum/Summer Camp Director

I graduated from Truman State University with honors and was the recipient of the Outstanding Elementary Education Graduate Award. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education with certification in kindergarten through eighth grade. My goals and educational perspective reflect more than 20 years of experience in private and public school environments, pre-school and elementary grades, as well as, working in administration. As an educator, it is my goal to meet the individual and group needs of my students in ways that support and challenge them in order to foster the greatest intellectual, social, and emotional growth. I strive to create a safe, nurturing, creative, and engaging environment where students can grow to become lifelong learners. I have a passion for learning and truly believe that a great teacher never stops their quest of learning and will continue to grow and learn alongside their students daily. Here at Andrews, I have had the privilege of being the Director of the Summer Camp Program for the past 6 years and have taught first grade. During the school year, I am the Dean of Students/Curriculum Director, where each and every day provides new adventures in developing the strong foundation for academic success.
