Geography Bee & Math Competition

With small class sizes, outstanding faculty, and strong academics, Andrews Academy Lake Saint Louis students are inspired to learn deeply. Each member of our faculty works diligently to engage students intellectually and emotionally as they navigate a challenging curriculum. Through differentiated instruction, progressive pedagogical approaches and the drive and ability to meet individual and collective needs, our teachers have established a culture that allows students to maximize their potential among a community of learners. The resulting success of these traits was on full display this past week.

Qualifying representatives from fourth, fifth, and sixth grades demonstrated impressive geographic knowledge, poise and confidence while competing in the National Geographic Geo Bee which ended in a five question tie breaker! Our winner will move on to the State Geo Bee.

Our proud Geography Whiz Kids

Andrews Academy mathematicians participated in the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) competition. Our students competed among a group of 145 students from a variety of public and independent schools. Andrews Academy was represented in excellent form. Each of our grade level teams scored in the top 5! Andrews Academy Lake Saint Louis students successfully competed against schools with much larger populations from which to identify qualifying students. We are small, mighty and proud!

Each of these students qualified to compete in the regional MCTM competition!
